Kagadi prison visit

September 13, 2026

Returning to Kagadi

Pastoral Support Mission Uganda returned to Kagadi Prison on September 13 for baptism and fellowship. Naphtali Abamwikiriza reported 65 baptisms and 38 professions of faith among those baptized. The others were existing Christians.

Because the prison yard is paved, the team could not dig a baptism pit. They paid for timber and a tarpaulin, built a box-shaped structure, lined it and filled it with water. Naphtali reported that all 65 baptisms took place in this temporary pool.

Continuing the relationship

When the team asked who had attended the April visit, around 20 inmates raised their hands. Naphtali described another 184 as new relative to that visit. He reported appreciation for PSM and invitations to return. After the ministry activities, the team shared a meal with prison staff before driving home.
